The K-W Predators Volleyball Club continues to make significant noise
around the province, capturing 4 medals during the MacGregor Cup portion
of the volleyball season. The 18U Purple Girls
team, the 17U Girls team, the 16U
Girls team all placed during the month of December. The 18U
Girls won the bronze medal in London, defeating Durham Attack Red
in their final match of the day. The 17U
team moved up an age division and proved to be very competitive
against their older counterparts by also winning a bronze medal in their
tournament which was held at Rockway Mennonite Collegiate in Kitchener.
The 16U Predator Girls walked away
with two medals during the first half of the season to lead all Predator
teams. The 16U Girls won the first gold medal in Predator history by
winning their own age division in a tournament held in Barrie. The girls
also played up an age division and won their second medal of the year
by capturing the bronze at the MacGregor Cup tournament held in Cambridge.
The club now takes a short break to celebrate the holiday season and
to get some much needed rest. All teams are poised to improve on the
first half of the season and to add to the Predator medal count.
