Welcome to the Kitchener Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club web site.
The Kitchener Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club is a non-profit, volunteer
organization whose goal is to establish itself as one of the top clubs in
the province. The mandate of this Club is to provide athletes with a high-level
competitive program. All athletes are encouraged to tryout for one of our
teams and become of member of one of the up and coming programs in the province.
The club plans to attain its goals by developing players at the youngest ages
and launching them through to our club teams.
Many opportunities are offered and available through our volleyball camp to
all athletes who want to develop themselves in this sport. We welcome and
encourage all house league athletes aged 13 to participate in our camps and
to tryout for one of our competitive teams.
Our House League offers developmental, non-competitive volleyball experiences to both boys and girls in grades 5 through 8. Programs are being planned as we speak, so check our web site regularly for the dates of this program.
The Waterloo County Volleyball Camp has been in existence for 14 years and boasts one of the best coaching staffs of any volleyball camp in the province. Two camps are offered every summer, one for athletes that have very little or no exposure to volleyball and a second camp that is highly competitive and is meant for athletes playing at the club level. For more information on our volleyball camp, click on the Waterloo County Volleyball Camp link on the left side of our web page or go to www.wcvbc.ca.
We currently have 9 competitive teams in our club. We have a full complement of girl’s teams and one boy’s team this year. Our girl’s teams include one team at every age level ranging in ages from 12 to 18 years of age while our boy’s team is made up of 18 year olds. It is our objective to have at least one highly competitive team at each age level in both boys and girls.
Russ Woloshyn and Paul Pavan created the Kitchener Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club in July of 2007. After its creation, an executive made up of Russ Woloshyn, Paul Pavan, Laura Brown, Kelvin Hui and Stephen Green came together and laid the groundwork for our first season. With some of the best coaches in the province guiding our teams, we look forward to a successful start to this new venture.
