The goal of the Kitchener-Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club is to spread the word about the great game of volleyball to as many young athletes as possible. The majority of clubs are only concerned with the development of their club teams, but the Predators, who also run very competitive club teams, are very interested in instilling a love of volleyball in young athletes. To this end, the Predators will by running a Youth League for athletes between the ages of 9 and 13. The goals of the league are as follows:
No Experience Is Required Boys and girls between the ages of 9-13 are taught the skills of volleyball and exposed to game situations. The coaching staff includes coaches from the Wilfrid Laurier University, WLU players, coaches from the K-W Predators, and Predator players, some of whom have played on Provincial championship teams. Balanced teams with a variety of skills and age levels are assembled for Youth League play. Players learn individual skills and perhaps more importantly the importance of playing as a team during the eight-week program that runs from April 1 to May 20 for Grades 4 and 5 and March 31 to May 26 for Grade 6, 7 and 8. Registration fee is $100. Click To Register For The Youth League
