FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q With two volleyball clubs already in the region, why form another club?
A Our vision is that Waterloo Region will develop the strongest teams in the province at every age level. Our club is committed to putting the best players in an age division on the same team so that we give ourselves the best chance at competing with the best teams in Ontario.

Q Does this mean that only the top players in the region can be part of the Kitchener - Waterloo Predators?
A Absolutely not. We welcome all players into our club. We have a philosophy which is geared toward excellence, but that excellence extends to the team and also the individual. All athletes will be given a fair chance to make one of our teams. If enough players show up in an age division to make two or more competitive teams, then we will definitely run more than one team in that age division. Of course, we may be limited if we do not have enough quality coaches.

Q What do you mean by 'quality coaches'.
A The K-W Predators coaching staff is one of the best coaching staffs in the province. Almost all of our coaches have played the game of volleyball at the highest level and have coached some of the greatest players in the country to numerous championships. Our coaches strive to get the most our of each athlete and it is our goal to develop our athletes so that they can go on to play volleyball at a high level after they are finished with club and high school volleyball. Because we want the best for each and every athlete in our club, we are very selective about the coaches that coach in our club.

Q Who are some of the athletes that were coached by members of your staff?
A The athletes read like a who's who of volleyball (coach's name in brackets). They would include Sarah Pavan (Paul Pavan, Mary Jane Thomas, Laura Brown, and Kelvin Hui), who is arguably the best volleyball player ever developed in Canada, Kristina Fabris (Paul Pavan, Laura Brown, and Kelvin Hui), Amy Charlebois (Paul Pavan and Laura Brown), Bojana Bosopovic (Kelvin Hui), Julie Fiorelli (Corinne Williams and Paul Pavan), Stephanie Neville (Russ Woloshyn and Laura Brown) and Kathy Ingalls (Laura Brown) to name but a few. There are many, many more great athletes that have gone on the play univerisity volleyball that have been developed by the coaches on our staff, but I think you get the picture.
