Preds 16U Black Content for Another Medal

For the third consecutive tournament the predators 16U black girls team challenged for a medal in the Championship division on Feb. 6th. This follows a silver finish from the December tournament and a fourth place finish form their second battle in January. The team started another solid day by defeating the Peel Selects 15U 2-0 and split with the South County Bandits 1-1. This placed them 2nd in their pool and gave them a rematch against the Georgian Cubs in the first round of playoffs. The girls quickly disposed of the Cubs 2-0 and then made short work of the Interclub 15U to take them to the Semi-finals. After a hard fought match the team was defeated by a solid 16U club from Interclub who eventually went on to win the gold medal. Their final game of the day was for the bronze medal against another solid team from the Halton Hurricanes. The girls couldn’t rebound from their semi final defeat and were swept by the Hurricanes 2-0 to finish in 4th for the second time in two tournaments. Overall it was another solid performance by a team which continues to grow and develop. Each tournament the team climbs the rankings, achieving higher results in a more competitive environment. Coaches and parents of this group are impressed with their work ethic, their desire to improve, and higher performances are expected in the future!
