Gold Medal for Ravage at McGregor Cup

In their first tournament of the new year Ravage travelled down to London, Ontario to compete in the Ontario Volleyball 15U McGregor Cup - Championship Division. Having experienced an earlier setback shortly before the holiday break, they came with a mission to secure one of two coveted Premier Division entry positions. Ravage did so with flying colours, smoothly sailing to secure their first gold medal of the season finishing with a perfect 5-0 record.
Ravage began the day with a strong performance against the Spiking Sharks winning two straight (25-12, 25-9) and the Stratford Cobras Black (25-7, 25-18). This caused Ravage to clinch the top spot in the pool moving them into a good position going into the quarter finals. Ravage then faced off against Pakmen Yellow winning in a convincing two sets (25-11, 25-18) upon which they then faced off against Cobras Gold (25-12, 25-15).
This then pitted Ravage against the hometown Forest City Green whom provided the biggest challenge of the day, causing the match to go to a deciding set. Ravage prevailed in the end securing the Gold Medal and a spot in the Premier Division. (Set scores 25-18, 20-25, 15-7).
Ravage competes in three weeks at their next 16U tournament.
