Silver Lining for 16U Girls
The 16U girls purple team took home the silver this past weekend after being downed by their arch rivals Durham Attack 19-25/25-21/12-15. The girls played a tough match but Durham proved to be the better team ‘this time’.
This very talented 16U squad went undefeated in pool play beating Forest City 25-13/25-12 and then winning the split against Oakville Thunder 25-12/21-25. Advancing to the playoffs, the Predators came up against a determined Ottawa Pheonix team. The Predators proved too much for their opponents, taking the match 25-15/25-15.
Advancing to the semi finals, the Predators were faced with a hot DRVC squad. With patience and persistence the girls overcame an 10 point deficit in the second set to seal the match victory 25-14/25-19. The Predators continue to field a well balanced squad with all 10 players contributing to their success. The 16U girls will be heading to Chicago for Valentines weekend to compete in the ‘Sports Performance Tournament’ followed by the next Premier 16U tournament in Scarborough. GO PREDS!!!!
