Preds Coach Selected for Prestigious Honour
The sport of volleyball is growing nationwide, and with that growth comes the demand for promising young coaches. With so many insightful, talented, youthful individuals entering the volleyball coaching profession, the AVCA wanted to find a way to spotlight the up and- coming professionals in our sport at all levels of the game. The AVCA Thirty Under 30 award, established in 2009, introduces the volleyball community to the top thirty coaches under 30 years old. To be eligible for this award, nominees had to be members of the AVCA, and have to be under 30 years of age in 2010, the year in which they are receiving the honor.
Selecting the top 30 coaches under 30 years old from all of the talented nominees was no easy task. Many possessed the necessary ingredients to be a successful coach, however the tough decision to narrow down the list of worthy candidates has been made.
The Kitchener-Waterloo Predators is honored to announce that Barrett Schitka, Boys Program Coordinator, has been selected as one the AVCA's Top 30 Under Thirty's award. Barrett, who solidified the men's half of the Club as one of the top in Ontario, is being recognized for his success and efforts over the past two years. Join us is congratulating him!
